Shopbop recently interviewed the brand’s creator, Misha Nonoo. She talked about her brand’s aesthetic and how it caters to women of today.
The Bahrain-born, London-raised designer places significant emphasis on crafting her pieces to be both indispensable and timeless, ensuring they secure a permanent spot in every woman’s wardrobe. In my view, she has accomplished this feat remarkably well.

“Nonoo is for the woman who loves fashion but doesn’t define herself by it. She is too sophisticated to be dominated by trends. For me, it’s about lifestyle. “Refinement matched with whimsy; prettiness that is grounded in the practical. Fit and detail are probably the most important elements to me because I believe they are what turn a great piece into a treasured favorite. I strive to create pieces that work as hard and feel as indispensable as the most basic items, but allow the wearer to express herself, to stand out in an elegant way that embraces her own personal style,” Misha Nonoo added.

I have always been a fan of the jacket and short pants combo, and I fervently pray that it will never go out of fashion. It is a classic combination and one you should have in your wardrobe for those moments when you want to look chic sans the fluff.

I love Misha Nonoo’s take on the menswear trend, which still looks very feminine. The contrast piping in the jacket offers just the right amount of accent. I think it complemented the blouse underneath.
