We’re confident that over the past few weeks, you have heard rumblings about the shift in the creative direction of the legendary fashion house Balenciaga.
Well, after heaps of speculation, the Paris-based brand has confirmed that after 15 years of service, fashion phenomenon Alexander Wang will become the brand’s new creative director.

Alexander will replace Nicolas Ghesquière, who has become known for designing luxurious, chic pieces tailor-made for high-fashion runway shows. With the sudden change, many feel that Alexander Wang will be able to reach a broader audience with Alexander Wang’s trademark street-inspired, sports luxe style.
I am a huge fan of this bold move! With Alexander Wang now in charge, Balenciaga becomes much more relevant to my generation. Like many of you, I am on the edge of my seat, holding my breath to see what he comes up with first.
