All eyes were on Carey Mulligan and her husband for a year, Marcus Mumford, as they strolled around Manhattan. They first met at a Christian holiday camp when she was 12 years old.

Carey Mulligan celebrated her 12th birthday on May 28, 1997. Marcus Mumford, who is almost two years younger, turned 10 on January 31, 1997.

“Carey and Marcus began sending each other letters through their churches when they were kids,” a source told The Sun in 2011. How romantic!

Mulligan and Mumford started dating after reuniting at a Mumford & Sons concert in Nashville in February 2011, just a few months after she split with her former boyfriend, Shia LaBeouf.

According to a source interviewed by The Daily Mail, “Marcus invited Carey to watch him play a secret show in the basement of his friend Mike Harris’s home in Nashville. She sat in the front row, and while he was singing, Marcus looked down at Carey, and she blushed. It was clear they had chemistry.”

“At the end of the night, there were just the musicians, Jake, Carey, and the Mumford boys,” a source revealed to Us Weekly. “We had some pizza and just played music. Jake picked up a guitar, and Carey joined in on “Amazing Grace.” Marcus and Carey seemed really friendly.”

Carey Mulligan and Marcus Mumford got engaged in August 2011 and married in April 2012.

For one thing, it is not usual to see both of them together out and about in New York. For another, Carey looked super cute even in her “stroll” outfit.

Some actresses dress so well on the red carpet only to flop in laid-back, casual ensembles. But not Carey. She just keeps wowing us with her comfortable, achievable casual looks, opening windows and doors for us, common people, to copy her impeccable style.

The jacket she wore here is a leather one with interesting neckline details, ribbed sleeves, and brown suede material. I think she worked it well with her plaid button-down top, black jeans, and flats. The sunnies gave her outfit celebrity appeal.

Looks like leather jackets aren’t going away any time soon. If it’s still a little cold where you live, copy Carey’s look with the following spiffy leather jackets:
