Big and world-renowned fashion houses scramble to dress up Beyonce. Which self-respecting designer wouldn’t want to see their clothes on a music royalty and icon, right? But true to her down-to-earth persona, Queen Bey still patronizes high street brands like Topshop and fledgling designers like 5:31 Jerome.
Beyonce arrives at the Billboard Women in Music Luncheon at Cipriani Wall Street in New York City on December 12, 2014
If you haven’t heard of 5:31 Jerome before, you’re not alone. It’s a relatively new fashion label from Jerome LaMaar that made its debut on the S/S 2014 runway. It looks like the designer’s aesthetic resonates deeply with the pop star because she has been spotted wearing brand’s purple F/W 2014 coat on several occasions.
We previously featured the 33-year-old wearing a gorgeous Haute Hippie knotted draped dress that showed off way too much leg skin for New York City winter weather. It turned out she had this coat ready just in case she needed to fend off the chill. She capped off the ensemble with a pair of Gucci ‘Horsebit’ platform sandals and accessorized with gold-tone, chunky jewelry.
The American singer, songwriter, dancer, and actress was spotted wearing the same coat over a white shirt, a pair of leather skinny pants and a pair of boots for Taylor Swift’s birthday bash.
What did you think, ladies? Are you smitten with this purple coat look? Here are some plum-hued coats that will give your winter outfit an extra pop of color:

2. Shades of Grey Long Coat, $322.00
3. DKNY Hooded Coat with Leather Trim, $477.00
