Her look at the recently concluded 2014 CLIO Image Awards, which took place at The Pierre Hotel in New York City on May 7, was another display of her bold fashion sense.
Ever the glamorous stylista, SJP stepped out in a lavish Oscar de la Renta outfit and a pair of metallic pumps from her very own SJP Collection for the said event, where she was handed the new Honorary Image Award.

The 49-year-old actress was beaming from ear to ear while posing for the photographers in a blue velvet patterned dress styled with a black-and-white coat.
Both pieces were very striking, and the overall look was a bit heavy. Thankfully, SJP had the confidence to pull off this combination of busy details. She made such bold pieces work in harmony.

SJP’s coat was hard not to notice despite its monochrome design. It is said to be inspired by the archival prints from the Elizabethan era, which explains the vintage-looking black lace pattern.
To create a different look, the lace collar and cuffs can actually be removed. A snap-front closure and an inverted pleat detail at the back complete this outstanding coat.
