It’s really hard to look stylish when you find yourself faced with torrential rains and winds. Your safety remains the number one priority, which is why it’s important to not let yourself get wet during the rainy season to avoid illnesses, such as the flu.
Here are some tips to avoid looking like you’ve taken a dip in the ocean while wearing clothes:
1. Trench Coats
Get yourself a nice, classic trench coat in a color that best suits most of your clothes. We recommend black, beige, or navy blue as these colors are guaranteed to never go out of style.

Also, choose a tailored fit or at least one that comes with a belt to give you a good silhouette.
2. Rain Boots
I used to wear my old trainers when it’s raining. The problem is that water seeps into them and gets my socks and my feet wet in the process. Ugh!
So, I bought myself a pair of knee-high rubber boots last year, and I love them! They allow me to walk through puddles like a breeze!
3. Umbrellas
I advise investing in a good umbrella, which will protect you not only from the rain but from the sun as well.
There are numerous choices out there — plain, printed, and patterned — but make sure you buy one that’s sturdy enough for the wind!
4. Colors and Prints
You can be your own ray of sunshine during the rainy season by using pops of color here and there. It can be a colored scarf, a printed umbrella, bright pink lips, or your rubber boots with a fun pattern.
So, did these tips help your style for the rainy season? We hope they did!
