Charlene, Princess of Monaco, and other Monaco royals gathered together for Princess Grace Foundation’s annual Monaco Rose Ball (or the Bal de la Rose du Rocher) on March 23.
As one of the most glamorous and high-profile events on the French Riviera, it’s already expected that the royals will be in their best ensembles. Actually, most of them wore Chanel couture. Princess Charlene though wore a custom Ralph Lauren gown and a biker jacket. Yes, you read that right. The princess wore a tough-looking jacket over her gown that features gold detailing around her neck and over her shoulders. This detail was supposed to be the main attraction of her ensemble, but she chose to hide it under a biker jacket. She must be hiding her swimmer shoulders, huh?
Anyway, check out how she looked:

I love the jacket, actually, but definitely not with the ivory gown. How about you?
Princess Charlene’s leather jacket, which is the “Davidson” jacket by Ralph Lauren, looks chic and edgy. Obviously, it could toughen up whatever piece of clothing. It’s a good thing though that she wore the off-white version of this jacket as it looks very elegant. At least, the gold detail on her neck is still shown from the jacket’s collar.
Like other biker jackets, this Ralph Lauren jacket comes in classic motorcycle styling complete with a notched spread collar with snaps. This also has diagonal zipper pockets, snapped epaulets, zipped cuffs, and a belted waist.
A year ago, Jessica Alba was also seen wearing this jacket in black. Will you wear this, too? Here are other versions, two of which come in spring colors:
