As a soon-to-be mother of two, pregnant Jessica Alba spoke about wanting a safe, clean, and healthy environment for her children and introduced Senate Bill S.487 as something that will change the way the American public is protected from harmful toxic chemicals and substances.

Jessica Alba adhered to the serious tone of the press conference’s topic and kept her outfit conservative, formal, and very business-like.

“Four years ago, I became pregnant for the first time, and as I’m sure any mother would agree, it immediately changes the way you look at things,” Jess said at a press conference, where she was joined by U.S. Senator Frank Lautenberg to introduce the act.

“[You] avoid anything that can be harmful to your child, particularly pesticides, alcohol, tobacco, the stuff that we’re all aware of. Thankfully my daughter Honor was born healthy, and I wanted to provide the healthiest environment for her at home.”

She topped off her outfit with a sand-colored linen jacket from Ann Taylor.

Though I love the jacket, it looks a tad too big and too long on Jessica Alba. Maybe it’s meant to be that way, but the jacket paired with the skirt hiked up all the way up under the bust made the proportions look all off.

For that long, oversized look, this linen boyfriend jacket from DKNYC will do the trick.
